This is a highly innovative private equity backed UK infrastructure and services business undergoing a significant phase of transformation and growth. With strong market positioning and recent additional investment, the organisation is scaling rapidly, driven by both organic expansion and M&A activity. With this in mind, the appointment of a Chief Human Resources Officer represents a pivotal leadership hire.

Reporting to the CEO and operating as a key member of the executive team, the Chief HR Officer will act as strategic partner to shape and deliver a modern, commercially aligned people strategy. The role will be instrumental in building organisational capability, embedding high-performance culture, and supporting international growth ambitions and value creation objectives.

Key priorities will include:
– Building and leading a best-in-class HR function, covering talent acquisition, leadership development, reward, employee engagement, and governance. 
– Leading organisational transformation, including change management, operating model evolution, and post-merger integration activity. 
– Developing scalable HR systems, processes and data capabilities to support rapid growth and improve decision-making.
– Driving a high-performance, purpose-led culture while balancing the needs of legacy teams and new talent within a PE-backed environment.

The successful individual will have: 
-Proven senior HR leadership experience within a private equity-backed or high-growth environment, familiar with investor cycles. 
– Strong track record of leading organisational transformation, including culture change, M&A integration and scaling HR capability. 
– Deep expertise across the full HR lifecycle, including talent, succession planning, performance management, reward, and employee engagement.
– Experience operating at executive level, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and investors. 
– International experience and cultural agility, ideally gained in infrastructure, industrial, utilities or services sectors; combined crucially with a digital/ technology mindset and skillset. 
– Commercially astute, hands-on and adaptable, with a high EQ, low ego leadership style suited to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
