You will lead the design, governance and delivery of executive compensation across the Group, partnering closely with the CHRO, CFO, Company Secretary, Executive Committee and Board Remuneration Committee.

The Role
As Executive Compensation Director, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the Group’s executive reward strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements and investor expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all aspects of executive compensation across the Group.
- Acting as the principal reward adviser to the Remuneration Committee.
- Preparing and presenting high-quality RemCo papers, recommendations and decision materials.
- Supporting the development and delivery of the Directors’ Remuneration Report (DRR) and Annual Report disclosures.
- Managing executive remuneration frameworks, including base salary, annual incentives, long-term incentive plans and share schemes.
- Monitoring market trends, institutional investor expectations and emerging governance requirements.
- Leading executive remuneration consultations and supporting engagement with shareholders, proxy advisers and external stakeholders.
- Partnering with senior executives and Board-level stakeholders to provide commercially focused reward advice.
- Driving governance excellence and ensuring compliance with all relevant listed company requirements.
- Supporting broader enterprise-wide reward initiatives and transformation programmes where required.
About You
We are seeking a highly credible executive compensation professional with a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial judgement and stakeholder influence.
The successful candidate will likely bring:
- Significant executive compensation experience gained within a FTSE-listed or similarly complex global organisation.
- Experience gained within a leading reward consultancy and/or a combination of consulting and in-house executive compensation roles.
- Deep knowledge of UK listed company remuneration governance, regulation and reporting requirements.
- Proven experience supporting Board Remuneration Committees and preparing high-quality RemCo papers.
- Strong experience leading Directors’ Remuneration Report preparation and annual remuneration cycle activities.
- Expertise across executive incentive design, LTIPs, share plans, remuneration structures and market benchmarking.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the confidence and credibility to engage effectively at Board and Executive Committee level.
- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
- The ability to translate complex reward, governance and regulatory concepts into clear business recommendations.
- A collaborative and pragmatic approach with the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, global environment.
