We are partnering with a high-growth, international technology business to appoint a Director of Executive Compensation & Equity Reward.
Reporting to the Global Head of Reward, this role will lead the design, governance and execution of executive compensation, equity and long-term incentive programmes across a complex global organisation.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in executive reward and equity, combined with experience operating in private equity-backed environments where growth, value creation and leadership retention are central to business strategy.
This is a senior individual contributor role with significant exposure to executive leadership, investors and key internal stakeholders. It offers the opportunity to influence reward strategy at a pivotal stage in the company’s growth journey.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the executive compensation agenda, including annual and long-term incentive programmes.
- Manage executive and senior leadership benchmarking, reward design and package structuring.
- Partner with Finance to review and assess incentive performance measures and outcomes.
- Own equity and long-term incentive programmes, including grant cycles, participant communications, governance, valuation processes and compliance requirements.
- Support transaction activity, including executive retention programmes and incentive design associated with M&A and corporate events.
- Manage relationships with external reward, legal and tax advisers.
- Provide clear and pragmatic advice to senior leaders on complex reward matters.
- Build strong relationships across Executive Leadership, HR, Finance and Talent Acquisition functions.
- Ensure reward programmes remain aligned with evolving regulatory and governance requirements globally.
Candidate profile:
- Demonstrable experience leading executive compensation programmes within a private equity-backed, high-growth or similarly complex organisation.
- Strong expertise in equity plans, long-term incentives and executive reward structures.
- Understanding of the commercial drivers, governance expectations and pace of decision-making associated with PE-backed businesses.
- Experience working closely with senior executives and board-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability, including financial modelling and incentive analysis.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
- Experience supporting M&A activity, transactions or liquidity events would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of global reward governance and emerging regulatory developments.
