Catalyst Partners is partnering with a leading financial services firm seeking an HR Advisor to join its London team. This is an opportunity to play a key role within a fast‑paced, commercially minded environment where HR is recognised as a critical partner to the business.
Working as part of a close‑knit HR function, the HR Advisor will support the full employee lifecycle, ensure operational excellence across core HR processes, and contribute to a range of people initiatives. This position is well‑suited to an ambitious HR professional who enjoys balancing day‑to‑day responsibilities with broader project work and is keen to develop within a sophisticated, high‑performing financial services setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the administration of employee benefits and act as the primary liaison with external providers.
- Oversee end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, family leave arrangements, flexible working, and offboarding.
- Prepare and process employee changes such as contractual amendments, probation reviews, and employment confirmation letters.
- Monitor and coordinate right‑to‑work and visa checks, ensuring compliance and timely renewals.
- Lead the pre‑employment screening process, proactively escalating inconsistencies.
- Support policy review and implementation in line with employment legislation and industry best practice.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, hearings, and case management.
- Contribute to learning and development activities and wider engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Co‑manage the HR inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to employee queries.
- Provide support on HR systems (including Workday) and participate in wider HR projects and continuous improvement activity.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in an HR Assistant or HR Coordinator role, now ready to step up into an HR Advisor position.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑moving environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
- High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
- Comfortable working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Part CIPD‑qualified (or working towards) is preferred.
- Competent with HR systems and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Workday is an advantage.
