Working as part of a close‑knit HR function, the HR Advisor will support the full employee lifecycle, ensure operational excellence across core HR processes, and contribute to a range of people initiatives. This position is well‑suited to an ambitious HR professional who enjoys balancing day‑to‑day responsibilities with broader project work and is keen to develop within a sophisticated, high‑performing financial services setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of employee benefits and act as the primary liaison with external providers.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, family leave arrangements, flexible working, and offboarding.
  • Prepare and process employee changes such as contractual amendments, probation reviews, and employment confirmation letters.
  • Monitor and coordinate right‑to‑work and visa checks, ensuring compliance and timely renewals.
  • Lead the pre‑employment screening process, proactively escalating inconsistencies.
  • Support policy review and implementation in line with employment legislation and industry best practice.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, hearings, and case management.
  • Contribute to learning and development activities and wider engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Co‑manage the HR inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to employee queries.
  • Provide support on HR systems (including Workday) and participate in wider HR projects and continuous improvement activity.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in an HR Assistant or HR Coordinator role, now ready to step up into an HR Advisor position.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
  • Comfortable working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Part CIPD‑qualified (or working towards) is preferred.
  • Competent with HR systems and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Workday is an advantage.
  • Thrives in a team‑oriented, collaborative culture and enjoys being part of a high‑performance environment.
