Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
Position Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and employees, supporting the execution of people strategies that drive organizational performance. This role provides guidance and support across employee relations, talent management, performance management, workforce planning, organizational development, employee engagement, and HR compliance. The HRBP works closely with leaders to align business objectives with human capital initiatives while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership
- Partner with leaders to understand business goals and develop people strategies that support organizational objectives.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee-related matters, leadership effectiveness, and team performance.
- Support organizational growth, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on workplace issues and employee concerns.
- Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Promote a positive employee experience and help foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.
Talent Management
- Support talent acquisition efforts by partnering with hiring managers on workforce needs and recruiting strategies.
- Assist with succession planning and talent development initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve employee retention and engagement.
Performance Management
- Guide managers through performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Help drive accountability and continuous feedback throughout the organization.
Organizational Development & Engagement
- Partner with leaders to identify training and development needs.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and action planning efforts.
- Assist in organizational design, team effectiveness, and change management activities.
HR Compliance & Policy Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and HR best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.
HR Metrics & Reporting
- Analyze HR data and trends related to turnover, engagement, retention, and workforce planning.
- Provide recommendations to leaders based on data-driven insights.
- Support the development and tracking of HR key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience supporting business leaders.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, performance management, and talent management practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience supporting multi-site, field-based, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or operations environments.
- Experience with organizational change management and workforce planning.
