About the Company and the Role

Our client is a leading global financial services organisation with a strong international footprint and a continued focus on employee experience. They are now seeking a Benefits Lead (based in London or Leeds) to take ownership of the benefits strategy and proposition across a key population.

This is a highly visible role focused on shaping and enhancing the employee benefits offering, ensuring it remains competitive, relevant and aligned to the needs of a diverse workforce. The successful candidate will drive improvements across benefits design, vendor management and employee engagement, helping employees better understand and maximise the value of the organisation’s benefits programme.

This position offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on employee experience while working closely with senior Reward and HR leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the review, design and ongoing development of the organisation’s benefits strategy and programme.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with external benefits providers, ensuring value, effectiveness and market competitiveness.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to support benefits recommendations and future programme development.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives that improve awareness, understanding and utilisation of benefits.
  • Partner with internal communications teams to develop and deliver effective benefits education and promotion campaigns.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders on benefits trends, opportunities and enhancements.

Candidate Profile / Experience

  • Significant experience within Benefits, Reward or Total Rewards, with responsibility for benefits design and strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programmes and market practice.
  • Experience managing third-party providers and challenging existing arrangements to drive value and improvement.
  • Able to combine strategic thinking with practical delivery and execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior audiences.
  • Passionate about employee experience and creating engaging benefits propositions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and project management skills.
