The International Head of Total Reward will play a pivotal role in defining and delivering a modern, market-aligned reward framework across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. This position will unify compensation, benefits, and wellbeing into a compelling employee value proposition that supports talent attraction, retention, and engagement.
Reporting into senior HR leadership, the role will focus on strategic design, governance, and influence rather than operational delivery. It offers the opportunity to shape the future reward landscape of a complex, multi-country organisation while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, and the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an international total reward strategy aligned to business objectives, balancing global consistency with local market relevance.
- Design and evolve compensation structures, incentive plans, and benefits programmes to ensure competitiveness and effectiveness across diverse geographies.
- Lead and develop a specialist reward team focused on strategy, insight, and long-term planning.
- Establish robust governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with global reward policies.
- Partner with senior leadership, HR Business Partners, and Finance to provide data-driven insights and recommendations on reward-related decisions.
- Drive communication and change initiatives to enhance understanding and adoption of reward programmes across the organisation.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in a senior reward leadership role within an international, multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Deep expertise across both compensation and benefits, with a strong track record of designing and implementing reward strategies.
- Proven ability to operate effectively within matrixed organisations, influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance cost considerations and employee value.
- Excellent analytical skills, with experience leveraging data and market insights to inform decision-making.
- Familiarity with HR systems and reward tools (e.g. Workday) and experience managing external vendors.
- A credible and confident communicator, capable of engaging at executive level and contributing to governance forums.
- Adaptable, culturally aware, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, international environment.
