Our client are a global investment firm, who are looking to hire an Associate into their HR Generalist / People Operations team in New York.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and professional development. This role requires collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with the firm’s strategic goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and contributing to the overall employee experience.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:- HR Administration: Assist with day-to-day People operations, including maintaining employee records, processing HR transactions, and ensuring data accuracy.
- HR Projects: Support the HR team in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate with the HR team and external vendors to aid in the development and implementation of special projects and HR initiatives. Prepare proposals and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, costs, best practices, and trends.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires by coordinating orientation sessions, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company. Provide training on company policies, procedures, and systems, and offer ongoing support to help new employees integrate successfully into their roles.
- Data Management: Maintain and update HR databases and systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze HR reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Support on all operational tasks related to the employee lifecycle and experience (e.g., background checks, onboarding, transfers, employee perks, Workday processing, and departures) and initiatives to enhance and improve internal workflows.
Experience
Experience:- 2-7 years in a People Operations / HR Generalist role
- Experience with compensation is preferred
- Experience with Workday is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
