Our client, a leading private equity firm, is seeking a Talent Director to drive a transformative talent and learning agenda across the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this is a high-impact leadership role focused on shaping the firm’s talent architecture, succession planning, and leadership development strategy.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building future leadership capability, enhancing performance culture, and embedding a data-driven approach to talent development. Responsibilities
- Design and implement a firm-wide talent management framework aligned with strategic business goals.
- Lead succession planning and partner pipeline development, ensuring robust leadership continuity.
- Define and deliver the firm’s learning and development strategy, including leadership and manager development programmes.
- Build structured career development paths and map current and future skills needs using data-driven insights.
- Partner closely with the CHRO and senior leadership to embed talent and learning initiatives into broader business priorities.
- Develop talent analytics and reporting to inform Executive Committee-level decisions and evaluate programme impact.
Experience
- Proven experience in a senior talent or leadership development role, ideally within private equity, financial services, or a global professional services environment.
- Strong track record in succession planning, performance enablement, and organisational capability building.
- Analytical and data-literate, with the ability to translate insights into strategic talent decisions.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing at Executive Committee level.
- Collaborative mindset with a “one HR” approach to cross-functional delivery.
- Degree from a leading university; coaching qualifications (e.g. ICF, EMCC) are advantageous.
